Meet Letitia B
Letitia B. is a musical storyteller (a.k.a. librettist/lyricist/composer/singer) who enjoys creating captivating experiences that inspire people to live fully, freely and passionately. A recent graduate of BerkleeNYC’s Master’s program in Writing and Design for Musical Theater and an island girl at heart, Letitia brings her unique Bahamian flair to everything she touches, including catchy Caribbean, gospel, pop, jazz, and soul-influenced melodies & scripts. Letitia is currently co-writing and composing Magia with Nathan Leitão (Theater Barn’s New Works Series Fall 2024, Syracuse NWNV 2025) and Fairytale Findings (Prospect Musicals JUMP CUT Lab 2025) and Coretta with Akili Wynn-Beavers & Neil Baker (chosen for a 2025 Casa Uno Residency) while working on solo projects. She is a selected mentee for the 2024-2025 Maestra Mentorship program and is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild.

Magia is an original fantasy musical that follows Leilani, a teen girl who attempts to save her ailing father by stealing a wish from the magical island of Tekoha. With a Latin-Caribbean fusion score, Magia asks the question, “What is real magic and how can it be used to break the cycles humanity perpetuates?”

Coretta
Coretta is a musical about Coretta Scott King. The musical explores how the unexpected love of Martin Luther King Jr. impacted the pursuit of her dream to be singing center stage. As the spotlight shifted to Martin, Coretta was forced to find her own light in his enormous shadow.

Fairytale Findings
Fairytale Findings is a 10 minute TYA musical that follows Jane, a young princess who dreams of becoming a topiary artist like her mom. Twenty-years later, Jane has grown disillusioned by the real world. When she has to return to the magical house of her childhood, her imaginary friends remind her of who she really is, giving her the courage to face the world ahead.
